About the company

A fast-growing payments business powering recurring commerce. Its payment infrastructure and solutions unify and optimise customers' payment ecosystems, giving them a competitive edge in the digital economy, backed by deep sector expertise and a highly personal, partnership-led service. The business is scaling quickly, so it will suit someone who thrives where things are constantly evolving and where individual differences are valued.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll own a portfolio of 10 to 15 top merchant accounts and act as the commercial lead, driving revenue growth, upsell and product adoption while building deep, trusted relationships. It is a proactive, field-first role for someone energised by getting in front of customers, spotting commercial opportunities, and closing them. There is a clear pathway for progression as the business grows.

What you'll do

  • Own and exceed commercial targets across your portfolio, spanning revenue growth, upsell, cross-sell and retention.
  • Build long-term, trusted relationships through regular in-person engagement (25%+ of your time), acting as day-to-day strategic advisor and commercial point of contact.
  • Map each merchant level by level (C-suite to day-to-day) and coordinate the right internal stakeholders at every level, including senior and executive touchpoints.
  • Identify, scope and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the full product suite, and lead renewals, pricing negotiations and commercial proposals.
  • Develop account plans and lead in-person QBRs, maintain relationship maps, and flag coverage gaps to senior leadership.
  • Monitor account health, transaction trends and adoption using data tools (Excel, Looker, Metabase, AI tools), and provide accurate revenue forecasts and risk analysis.
  • Become a product expert across the company's payments and integration solutions, and be the voice of the customer internally, influencing the product roadmap.
  • Work cross-functionally with Integrations, Product, Finance and Commercial, and mentor less experienced team members.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
