Account Manager – B2B Events

Salary: £33,000–£35,000 + £50,000+ OTE
Location: London / Hybrid
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

We’re working with a leading international B2B events business looking to hire an Account Manager to join its growing life sciences portfolio.

This is a particularly good opportunity for someone who is relationship-led rather than purely sales-driven. The role is approximately 60% account management and 40% delegate sales, with a strong focus on looking after existing sponsor clients, delivering an excellent service and building long-term relationships.

You’ll work closely with the Sponsorship team, acting as a key point of contact for clients and helping ensure they get maximum value from their involvement in the events.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing relationships with a portfolio of sponsor clients
  • Acting as a key point of contact throughout the event cycle
  • Working closely with the Sponsorship team to understand client objectives and contractual deliverables
  • Building strong, consultative relationships with clients and senior stakeholders
  • Helping sponsors identify the companies and individuals they most want to meet
  • Coordinating introductions and meetings between sponsors and relevant senior attendees
  • Ensuring agreed meetings, introductions and other account deliverables are successfully fulfilled
  • Managing multiple client accounts simultaneously and keeping clients updated throughout the process
  • Working collaboratively with sales, marketing, audience development and operations teams
  • Supporting delegate sales and audience acquisition across the portfolio
  • Engaging senior professionals across biotech, pharma, healthcare, investment and related life sciences markets
  • Maintaining accurate CRM and account information
  • Supporting client retention, renewals and future account growth through a consistently high level of service

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Person

This role would particularly suit someone who is:

  • Relationship-focused – you genuinely enjoy getting to know clients and building trust

  • Highly organised – you’re comfortable juggling multiple clients and moving parts
  • Proactive – you spot what needs to happen and take ownership
