The job in one line

You own relationships with a portfolio of schools, helping them hire smarter and faster, and your number is accepted placements.

What you'll actually do

  • Own the account relationship. Lead school leaders through the hiring process with a consultative approach, not a hard sell.
  • Pick up the phone. Outbound calling is part of the job, but it's about helping schools solve a real problem, not just closing.
  • Source and match. Find the teacher who's the right fit for a specific school, not just any candidate who's available.
  • Grow existing accounts. Follow up with schools already using the platform and find ways to expand their usage.
  • Work cross-functionally. Feed insight back to product on what schools actually need, and work with Ops when a booking gets complicated.
  • Stay in the mix. Jump into pipeline brainstorms, adapt fast, expect no two weeks to look the same.

Who this is for

You don't need to tick every box, but you'll likely thrive here if you recognise yourself in one of these:

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Sales background. A track record of hitting targets (or smashing similar KPIs), confident handling objections and building trust quickly over the phone.
  • Relationship or account management. You're used to owning a portfolio, being the person a client calls when something's wrong, and turning that trust into expansion.
  • Mission-driven generalist. You care about the social impact side of the work, maybe education specifically, and you're a fast learner who can pick up the commercial skills on the job.

Helpful, not essential

  • Experience in EdTech, education, or a related mission-driven sector
  • Prior outbound sales or business development experience
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, still-being-built startup environment

Essential

  • Confidence on the phone. Comfortable calling decision-makers cold and handling objections in real time.
  • Proven results. A track record against sales targets or comparable KPIs.
  • Team orientation. Genuinely enjoys being part of a close-knit team, not just working alongside one.
  • Growth mindset. Actively looking to learn and improve rather than defaulting to what's worked before.
  • Tolerance for ambiguity. Comfortable when process is still being built rather than fixed.
