About The Role
Account Manager – Soft Facilities Management (Cleaning)
Manchester-Based | Travel to Stansted & East Midlands Required
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee a high-profile soft FM cleaning contract within a major airport group. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic business where you’ll play a critical role in managing operations, stakeholder relationships, and compliance across multiple sites.
Based in Manchester, you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of the cleaning contract, ensuring service excellence, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Travel to Stansted and East Midlands Airports will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure delivery of cleaning services in line with contract specifications, budget, and client expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams to drive satisfaction and retention.
- Oversee and manage sub-contractors
- Oversee and support the vetting and onboarding processes, ensuring full compliance with airport governance protocols.
- Proactively manage service quality through regular site visits, audits, and performance reviews.
- Liaising with the supply chain, coordinating and scheduling site visits to align with client requirements.
- Lead account development plans, identify risks, and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement.
- Handle operational and personnel issues with discretion and effectiveness.
- Prepare and present accurate reports within deadlines.
- Be flexible to meet operational demands.

About You
- Proven experience in Account or Contract Management within soft FM, ideally with cleaning services in complex or regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of vetting/governance processes, ideally in aviation or similar high-security sectors.
- Excellent administrative, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build rapport across multiple stakeholder levels.
- Commercially astute with the ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.
- Comfortable with travel and flexible working hours as needed.
