Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa, and chocolate.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Account Manager Food will primarily be responsible for the sales & development of our mayor industrial, local, and European food customers. In this role, you will sell a variety of products, services, and solutions across multiple lines of business for a defined group of existing clients, craft medium to long-range sales plans, and prepare strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with a defined group of existing customers.

Possible locations include the UK, the Netherlands, or any other country where Cargill has an office.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and handle interactions with an assigned group of customers to establish sales opportunities.
  • Resolve problems and ensure customers receive high-quality service.
  • Develop client retention and growth plans and strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts.
  • Review and report on customer retention, business opportunities, and market trends.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree.
  • Proven experience in sales and account management, e.g. a career in a B2B environment with a proven sales and business development track record in food/feed ingredients.
  • Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Healthy business acumen & attitude, affinity with trading / risk management / agricultural commodities and markets.
  • A hands-on, customer-driven networker with an independent working style and proven analytical- as well as presentation skills.
  • Approachable with high self-awareness.
