My client, a long standing and highly successful footwear manufacturer, are looking to add an additional head into their Sales team, due to continued growth.
You will be working across both Private Label and Own Brand, where you will partner closely with design across new collection developments. You will build relationships with existing Buyers, as well as continue to drive new areas where possible.
This role is 5 days on site, working hours- 8am- 4pm. These times can be flexed where needed
Footwear Account Manager- The Role:
- Collaborate with Design to put together customer-specific, trend driven, commercial private label, and Wholesale footwear ranges for the UK market.
- Consider material pricing closely when range building alongside the designer.
- Regularly present new collections to customers
- Take the range to customers weekly, understand their feedback, needs and requirements, and work to grow the business with each client.
- Travel to India twice a year to collaborate closely with the factory and/or during major customer visits.
- Negotiate prices in close coordination with the factory and customers
- Visit shops, trade fairs in Europe - to always stay updated on new trends, new technologies and innovations in footwear, and work to implement in new ranges built.
- Own all buying decisions for the Wholesale collections
- Build strategies to expand the Wholesale ranges, and continue to evolve the brands further
- Meet regularly with existing online portals and work to open new online portals to
- Manage sample development calendars for all private label customers as well as Wholesale, ensuring key dates are met.
- Liaise daily with customers and factories across all orders and new developments.

Footwear Account Manager- The Person:
- Must have Footwear sales experience- ideally across Private Label for the UK High Street
- Have a good eye for Footwear trends, and what is commercial in the market
- Be confident across Footwear product development- make, manufacturing processes, raw materials
- Results driven
- Happy to travel overseas twice a year
- Advanced Excel skills, including confidence with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and large volumes of data.
- Comfortable working independently within a small business environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised, proactive and adaptable with a positive, team-focused attitude.

Footwear Account Manager- The Package:
- £40k basic
- Commission (at current level of business around £22k pa)
