London Account Manager – Spirits

MacGregor Black is pleased to be working with a highly regarded premium drinks business that is looking to appoint a London Account Manager – Spirits to drive the growth and distribution of its premium spirits portfolio across the capital.
This is a hands-on commercial role focused on developing existing accounts, winning new business, and increasing the visibility and distribution of premium spirits across London's vibrant on-trade market.
The successful candidate will have established relationships across London's bars, restaurants, hotels, and hospitality groups, together with a genuine understanding of the premium spirits sector.
The Role
Working as part of the London on-trade sales team, you will take responsibility for developing a portfolio of customers and identifying new opportunities to grow the brand across the capital. You will spend significant time in the market, building relationships with customers and wholesalers, securing new listings, and supporting the brand through tastings, training, and customer events.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing sales, distribution, and brand presence across London's on-trade.
- Managing and growing existing customer accounts while identifying and securing new business.
- Building strong relationships with key bars, restaurants, hotels, hospitality groups, and spirits wholesalers.
- Identifying opportunities to increase listings, distribution, and sales across priority accounts.
- Working closely with internal Sales, Marketing, and Trade Marketing teams to deliver commercial objectives.
- Planning and delivering tastings, training sessions, customer events, and other brand activation initiatives.
- Supporting seasonal campaigns and trade marketing programs across the London market.
- Maintaining regular contact with key wholesale partners and identifying opportunities for further growth.
- Providing accurate sales reporting, forecasts, and market insight to senior management.
- Monitoring account performance and maintaining accurate sales and commercial records.
- Representing the brand professionally at customer meetings, events, and industry activities.
- Building strong relationships across the London on-trade and acting as a credible ambassador for the brand.

About You
We are looking for an experienced premium spirits sales or account management professional with an established network across London's on-trade.
You will ideally bring:
- Proven sales or account management experience within the premium spirits industry.
- An established network across London's bars, restaurants, hotels, and hospitality groups.
- Strong relationships with spirits wholesalers and other key on-trade stakeholders.
- A track record of growing sales, distribution, and brand visibility.
- Experience winning new business as well as developing existing customer accounts.
- Experience delivering tastings, training, customer events, or other brand activation initiatives.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A self-motivated and commercially focused approach, with the ability to work autonomously.
- The confidence and credibility to represent a premium spirits brand within London's competitive hospitality market.

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established premium drinks business and play a key role in developing its spirits presence across London.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior sales, marketing, and brand teams while building relationships with some of the capital's most influential on-trade customers.
