Are you an experienced Account Manager with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for developing customer relationships within a technical manufacturing environment?

DENSO is a global mobility supplier developing advanced technology and components for leading vehicle manufacturers worldwide.

At DENSO Marston Ltd in Shipley, West Yorkshire, we design and manufacture high-performance heat exchange units and cooling modules for OEMs across the off-highway construction, agricultural and power generation sectors.

The Role

As a Sales Account Manager, you will take full ownership of key customer relationships, driving account growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term commercial success.

  • Working closely with Applications Engineering teams, you will support both existing and new business opportunities, ensuring customer requirements are translated into commercially effective solutions aligned with strategic business objectives.

This is a commercially focused role requiring a proactive approach to relationship management, sales development, and customer engagement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Travel within the UK and Europe will be required.

Working Hours & Benefits

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

  • Friday: 8:30 am - 1:30 pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with key customer accounts
  • Identify and drive new business and growth opportunities
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, reporting, and account metrics
  • Develop account plans and provide regular commercial updates
  • Build trusted relationships with customers and key stakeholders
  • Prepare quotations, manage follow-ups, and support business negotiations
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and operational teams to deliver customer solutions
  • Monitor market trends, technologies, and customer requirements
  • Resolve customer issues effectively to maintain confidence and satisfaction
  • Deliver against sales activity and revenue performance targets

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience within account management, business development, or technical sales
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer-focused approach
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to build long-term customer relationships and influence decision-makers
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive and results-driven approach to sales growth
  • Good Microsoft 365 capability and reporting skills

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience within Automotive, Construction/Agriculture, or Material Handling sectors
  • Experience managing complex customer accounts within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Consultative sales experience with a structured sales approach
  • Proven track record of delivering sales growth and account development
  • Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
