Account Manager🌟

Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £35,000-40,000 DOE + commission

The Opportunity

As Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of exhibition clients while proactively identifying new commercial opportunities.

The successful candidate will be confident working to targets, comfortable speaking with senior stakeholders and motivated by building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities👇

Sales

  • Deliver and exceed sales targets set by the Group Head of Sales.
  • Achieve agreed KPIs across calls, meetings and sales activity.
  • Drive new business and identify opportunities.
  • Develop existing accounts and maximise opportunities for repeat business.
  • Achieve agreed client rebooking targets.
  • Maintain a healthy and accurate sales pipeline.
  • Build strong relationships with prospects and convert opportunities into revenue.

Account Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for allocated accounts.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • Understand client objectives and recommend appropriate exhibition solutions.
  • Ensure agreed solutions are delivered successfully and on time.
  • Identify opportunities to increase client spend and develop accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across sales, marketing, data, events and finance.

CRM & Administration

  • Keep the CRM fully up to date with all sales activity and pipeline opportunities.
  • Work with marketing and data teams to ensure prospect and target lists are accurate.
  • Monitor individual performance against sales targets.
  • Ensure contracts and associated paperwork are completed accurately.
  • Support the finance team with outstanding invoices and payments where required.
  • Obtain marketing collateral and other information from clients within agreed deadlines.

Competitor & Industry Events

  • Attend relevant competitor and industry events to identify new business opportunities.
  • Research events in advance and identify key prospects and target organisations.
  • Arrange and conduct a minimum of 7 face-to-face meetings per day at competitor events.
  • Record and evaluate outcomes, opportunities and potential return on investment.
  • Produce post-event reports with recommendations and projected opportunities.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience selling exhibitions, sponsorship, events or other B2B solutions.
  • A proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong numerical and written skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A confident and outgoing personality.
  • The ability to understand customer challenges and develop creative commercial solutions.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
