Role Description

The Account Manager will manage and grow relationships with utility and energy sector customers, acting as the primary point of contact for all commercial and service-related matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Understanding client requirements
  • Preparing proposals and quotations
  • Coordinating delivery of smart metering and software solutions
  • Monitoring contract performance

The role involves:

  • Regular account reviews
  • Handling escalations
  • Collaborating with technical and operations teams
  • Identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling

The Account Manager will also:

  • Track market trends
  • Maintain accurate account records in CRM systems
  • Support forecasting and reporting activities

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in account management, client relationship management, or customer success, ideally within utilities, energy, or technology sectors.
  • Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management, with the ability to present solutions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in organizing and prioritizing workloads, managing multiple accounts, and maintaining accurate documentation and CRM records.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, technical, operations, and support teams to deliver integrated solutions and resolve customer issues.
  • Analytical mindset with competence in interpreting commercial data, contracts, and performance metrics to support decision-making.
  • Comfort working in an on-site environment in Hook, with occasional travel to customer locations as required.
  • Knowledge of smart metering, energy management, or software solutions is advantageous, along with a customer-centric approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Job Details

This full-time, on-site Account Manager role can be remote in the UK, but there will be a requirement to travel to customers and Head Office (Hook, Hampshire).
