Job Title

We are a specialist provider of chemical solutions, working with customers across industrial and process markets. We are currently looking for a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to develop new and existing business across the UK, with a particular focus on ion exchange resins and membrane technologies.

Basic Salary

Up to £60,000

Location

Home Based with travel to customers nationwide and occasional visits to the office in Buckinghamshire. You could be based in Milton Keynes, High Wycombe, Oxford, Reading, Slough, Aylesbury, Luton, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Northampton.

Job Description

Role

Reporting to the Managing Director this is a technical sales role selling specialist solutions into industrial and process markets across the UK. You'll manage and develop an established customer base whilst identifying new business opportunities, working with customers to understand their applications and recommend the right technical solution. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities (50%) whilst growing and retaining existing customer accounts (50%).
  • Build long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, and key decision makers.
  • Understand customer applications and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial agreements, and manage opportunities through to completion.
  • Contribute to business growth, market development, and longer-term commercial strategy.

Person Specification

You'll have a strong technical understanding combined with the commercial drive to develop customer relationships and grow sales. You will have a background in ion exchange resins or membrane technologies, or your technical knowledge could have been developed within another chemical or process-driven industry.
