Job Description
Canon are a leading player in the Large Format Graphics market with continued technology innovation including the new Colorado XL series. We are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to lead our continued growth in this exciting market sector.
As Account Manager within Canon’s Large Format Graphics business, you will play a pivotal role in developing strategic relationships with our customers and prospects. This position requires a high-activity level and a self-starting individual who takes full ownership of their territory and who can consistently create and progress new opportunities.
In this role you will engage directly with business owners and strategic influencers within this entrepreneurial SME dominated sector. Liaising directly with Managing Directors (business owners) and Production Directors leading strategic discussions around capital investment, production efficiency and business growth. It will be essential that you develop compelling commercial business cases, including financial analysis and performance justification being a central factor to your success.
Responsibilities
As our Account Manager – Large Format Graphics, your key responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships within the Large Format Graphics sector, identifying new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
- Build trusted advisor relationships at owner and C-suite level within both new and existing Canon customer accounts.
- Maintain high levels of sales activity, prospecting, and pipeline development to drive sustained territory growth.
- Demonstrate a knowledgeable understanding with a consultative approach of large format print business models, including margin pressures, utilisation, workflow efficiency, and investment drivers.
- Lead strategic conversations on how Canon’s technologies portfolio can complement or replace existing equipment and processes.
- Apply strong technical knowledge of UV Graphics applications and processes whereby delivery lead times and operational efficiencies play a stronger role in today’s world. This will also include finishing solutions, workflow improvements and collaboration on media’s that are also supplied by Canon.
- Develop and present robust financial justifications, including ROI and cost-per-metre analysis.
- Accurately forecast revenue, gross margin, solutions, and units on a monthly and quarterly basis to meet financial targets.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of account activity within Salesforce (SFDC).
- Lead and coordinate with supporting colleagues to deliver effective multi-stakeholder Large Format print solutions.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role as our Account Manager for the Large Format Graphic area you will need to possess the following:
- Previous demonstrable experience in a similar sales role, such as an Account Manager or Business Development
- Ambitious and eager to learn, with strong motivation to succeed in one of Canon’s core growth sectors.
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and accountable with a strong sense of territory ownership.
- Proven track record in securing high-value capital equipment or solutions-based sales.
- Experience engaging directly with business owners and C-level executives.
- Strong account planning capability and a strategic approach to business development.
- High levels of daily sales activity, prospecting discipline, and pipeline management.
- Financially literate with the ability to interpret performance metrics and create compelling, data-driven business cases.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and executive-level negotiation skills.

The salary for this role is £45,000 - £49,000 depending on experience plus £25k OTE commission, car allowance, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
