Account Manager Role - Marketing Agency

The collective purpose of the Client Services team within STM Agency is to develop lasting and meaningful relationships, founded on perpetual thinking and innovation, to drive client and agency profit and growth.

We are seeking an Account Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic agency environment and is looking for a new challenge.

The ideal candidate will be organised, commercially minded and confident managing day-to-day client relationships across a range of sectors and marketing disciplines.

Candidates should ideally have a minimum of 18 months experience within an agency environment, having worked across integrated marketing projects. Experience across creative, digital, content, production, web development and performance marketing is desirable, alongside exposure to both B2B and B2C clients.

We're looking for an individual who can work with autonomy and is comfortable managing day-to-day client relationships under the guidance of an Account Director. Versatile and detail-oriented, capable of reacting swiftly to client needs whilst upholding high standards of accuracy and execution.

Under the guidance of your Account Director, you will be accountable for the day-to-day management of your projects, working alongside our Create, Reach and Code teams to ensure work delivered for clients is head and shoulders above the competition.

We're looking for someone to demonstrate the below in their initial interview:

  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of project profitability
  • Experience managing day-to-day client relationships
  • Broad understanding of integrated marketing channels
  • Confidence briefing and coordinating specialist teams
  • Ability to interpret campaign, website or project performance data
  • Proactive mindset with a desire to identify opportunities for client growth
  • Experience working across a mixture of client sectors and project types
  • Previous agency experience managing multiple stakeholders and timelines

Day to day your role will include:

Client Relationship Management (30%)

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, delivering the very best work on time, on brief and on budget
  • Acting as the primary day-to-day point of contact for clients
  • Leading client communications, meetings, status updates and project reviews
  • Identifying opportunities to add value through broader agency services and solutions

Project Oversight (25%)

  • Coordinating integrated projects across creative, content, production, development and performance marketing teams
  • Managing the creation of agency briefs, timelines, estimates and delivery plans
  • Maintaining project momentum by proactively managing risks, actions and dependencies
  • Ensuring workstreams remain aligned to agreed objectives and deliverables

Strategic Planning (15%)

  • Supporting the development and execution of client growth plans
  • Contributing insights and recommendations during planning and strategy sessions
  • Building a strong understanding of client sectors, competitors, challenges and opportunities
  • Translating client objectives into clear and actionable agency briefs

Budget Management (15%)

  • Managing project budgets through Synergist alongside your Account Director
  • Producing accurate estimates, quotations and statements of work
  • Monitoring project profitability and utilisation
  • Supporting forecasting and revenue planning discussions

Problem Solving (10%)

  • Addressing project, delivery and stakeholder challenges proactively
  • Working with specialist teams to identify solutions and maintain momentum
  • Managing client expectations and escalating appropriately when required
  • Maintaining a solution-focused approach to delivery challenges

Quality Assurance (5%)

  • Reviewing work to ensure briefs have been accurately interpreted and delivered
  • Supporting internal review processes and quality checks
  • Ensuring client expectations are consistently met whilst protecting project scope and profitability
