Account Manager (Media) - Aquilon Tech
Location: Birmingham (Brindley Place) | Hybrid
Compensation: £32,000 – £36,000/year (Depending on experience)
Type: Full-time, Permanent | Aquilon Tech Ltd
About the Role
We are a Birmingham-based digital agency working with established UK businesses. Our Media team runs SEO, content, email, branding and performance marketing, while our Tech team builds custom software, operations platforms, client portals and AI agents. Most of our clients buy both.
We are looking for an Account Manager who will own the day-to-day relationship with a portfolio of clients and make sure what we promised actually lands. This is a client-facing delivery role, not a back-office one. You will lead performance and planning calls, then turn them into clear briefs for our content, design, web and SEO team.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Ownership: Be the main point of contact for 4–6 client accounts, from weekly check-ins to quarterly reviews.
- Briefing & Scoping: Turn client conversations into scoped, prioritised work with briefs the team can act on.
- Delivery & Quality: Keep delivery moving, chase what's slipping before the client notices, and QA all work before it goes out.
- Client Communication: Write updates, campaign recaps, reporting commentary and proposals, and present performance honestly, even when the numbers disappoint.
- Account Growth: Flag scope drift or lost momentum early, and bring evidence-backed upsell opportunities to the founder.

Requirements
- 3+ years in a marketing agency, in-house marketing team or other client-facing marketing role.
- Digital Marketing Fluency: Solid grounding in content, SEO, websites and campaign reporting. You don't need to be the specialist, but you must speak the language credibly.
- Communication: Strong written English and a calm, confident manner with senior clients on phone and video.
- Project Management: Comfortable handling briefs, deadlines, dependencies and chasing across six accounts at once.
- Location: Based in or near Birmingham and able to be in the office regularly.

Nice to Have
- Experience in UK drainage, civils, construction products or manufacturing; familiarity with Claude, GA4, Google Business Profile, Figma or LinkedIn outreach tools; or clients who buy both marketing and software.
