Account Manager – Medical Capital Equipment | South West & South Wales

£55,000 Basic + Capital & Consumables Bonus + Company Car / Car Allowance

Axira Partners is supporting an established global medical device manufacturer specialising in endoscopy reprocessing and decontamination solutions with the recruitment of an experienced Account Manager across the South West & South Wales.

The organisation provides solutions used within hospital endoscopy and decontamination departments, including automated endoscope washer-disinfectors, drying and storage solutions, traceability systems and associated consumables.

The Role

This is a field based commercial position with responsibility for driving sales growth across the territory, increasing the installed equipment base and developing long-term relationships with NHS and healthcare customers.

  • Selling capital equipment, consumables and service solutions
  • Developing new business opportunities across the territory
  • Managing and growing existing customer accounts
  • Increasing the installed base and product penetration
  • Building relationships with healthcare professionals, key decision-makers and procurement teams
  • Managing complex capital sales opportunities from identification through to close
  • Developing account plans and maintaining a strong sales pipeline
  • Delivering presentations, proposals and commercial business cases
  • Supporting new installations, go-lives and product training

What We're Looking For

Capital equipment sales experience is required for this position.

You should also have:

  • Proven experience within medical device / healthcare sales
  • A track record of achieving sales targets and managing a strong pipeline
  • Experience managing complex, high value capital sales cycles
  • Strong new business development skills
  • Excellent account management and relationship-building ability
  • Experience selling into NHS / hospital environments
  • Understanding of NHS procurement processes would be advantageous
  • Endoscopy, decontamination, infection prevention or associated clinical market experience would be particularly relevant
