About the Role
Edge is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our UK team, working with a single strategic client account. This is a role for someone who wants to build depth, not breadth, working with one of our most established and interesting client relationships.
Working under the Director of Medical Communications, you will be the day-to-day owner of project delivery across a busy portfolio: peer-to-peer educational programmes, advisory boards, congress activity, and medical affairs support. Working closely with our medical writers, designers, and freelance specialists, you will manage schedules, coordinate drafts and reviews, anticipate bottlenecks, and keep every project moving from brief to final delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent projects: planning, scheduling, resourcing, and tracking against milestones and budget
- Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and status trackers in the company system, flagging risks early and keeping delivery on course
- Manage client and medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) review cycles and approval timelines so work is delivered on time

Experience, Skills, and Requirements
- A scientific degree or equivalent, and enough curiosity about science to keep pace with the medical writing team
- 5+ years in medical communications, with at least 2 years in an Account Manager role
- Excellent project management and analytical skills
- Genuine confidence with scoping, budgeting, and financial project management
- Calm judgment under pressure, and the ability to hold multiple workstreams without dropping any of them
- A confident, professional communicator, comfortable as a day-to-day contact for delivery and operational matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

About the Company
You will be joining a senior, flat, independent agency across the UK and Australia. There is no unnecessary hierarchy at Edge. You will work directly with the owners, with senior medical writers, and with clients. If that appeals, we would like to hear from you.
