Job Title: Account Manager
Reports to: Account Director or Business Unit Director
Job type: Full-time; Hybrid
SALARY: £36,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Working within a business unit, this role is focused on healthcare professional external events as well as internal sales events including meetings, symposia, webinars, advisory boards, steering committees, and sales meetings. The role will be varied and fast-paced, and you will be expected to take the lead on all aspects of the project such as stands, educational and promotional materials, emails, slides, venue, AV, and logistics.

You will be directly responsible for the quoting, planning, implementation, and outcomes of your projects, ensuring they are delivered to the highest quality on-time and on budget. Within your close-knit team, you will help to develop junior members to build their knowledge and expertise, contributing to the success of the team and the ongoing growth of the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project management: Be the lead on projects, keeping them on schedule, on budget, and to the brief. This entails closely managing junior staff, our production team, writers, and third-party suppliers, and keeping ahead of evolving client requirements.
  • Client service: Develop strong working relationships with your clients, providing clear status updates, problem-solving, and identifying opportunities to expand the account.
  • Team working: Build and train client services staff as they progress in their careers as well as working collaboratively across teams.
  • Growth: Be proactive in identifying opportunities to expand accounts and improve efficiencies.
  • Financial and quality control: Maintain and uphold financial and quality control processes with a high level of scrutiny and attention to detail.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical communications agency or similar roles in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (degree in communications, marketing, or similar will also be considered).
  • Experienced in running multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Veeva PromoMats.
  • Understanding of the ABPI and EFPIA.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
