Purpose of Role
As an Account Manager, you'll own the long-term success and commercial growth of a portfolio of customers across your home market in the Netherlands and UK. You'll be the face of nShift to these accounts - a trusted adviser who understands their business, anticipates their needs, and helps them unlock more value from our platform over time.
This is a role for someone who loves building real relationships, is energized by commercial conversations, and takes genuine pride in customer outcomes. You'll work across nShift's full product portfolio - delivery management, checkout, tracking, and returns - and collaborate closely with Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to make sure your customers are always getting the most out of what we offer.
Overall Responsibilities
- Full commercial ownership of a portfolio of customers, with accountability for net revenue retention and expansion
- Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities across nShift's full product suite, identifying where customers can unlock additional value
- Own renewals end-to-end - building strong relationships well in advance of contract dates and proactively managing risk to prevent churn
- Develop and execute account plans for your customers, aligning nShift's roadmap and capabilities to their long-term business goals
- Build and maintain relationships across multiple stakeholder levels, from day-to-day champions to C-suite executives
- Maintain an accurate and healthy pipeline of expansion and renewal opportunities in Salesforce
- Partner with Customer Success Managers on joint account strategies to maximize customer health and growth
- Use data and business insights to make compelling cases for adoption, expansion, and deeper integration
- Act as the voice of the customer internally — feeding market intelligence and customer feedback into Product, Marketing, and Leadership
- Represent nShift at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows across the region

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
