Account Manager - MRI OnLocation Footfall Analytics
To support our continued growth, we are seeking an enthusiastic and commercially driven Account Manager to grow existing client revenue through the sales, retention, and strategic development of MRI OnLocation Footfall Analytics, part of MRI Software's market-leading suite of real estate technology solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the UK's and Europe's largest retail landlords, shopping centre owners, retail destinations, asset managers, retailers, Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), and Local Authorities. The role centres on helping clients harness the power of footfall intelligence, visitor insights, destination performance analytics, and data-driven decision making to optimise asset performance, improve customer engagement, support investment decisions, and measure the impact of placemaking and regeneration initiatives.
As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with clients to demonstrate how footfall data can be transformed into actionable business intelligence. You will support customers in understanding visitor and wider destination analytics that drive commercial outcomes.
In addition to managing and expanding MRI OnLocation Footfall Analytics accounts, you will have the opportunity to cross-sell MRI's broader portfolio of real estate technology solutions across the Corporate Occupier, Retail, Property Management, Facilities Management, and Investment sectors.
Previous experience within retail property, commercial real estate, retail operations, data analytics, business intelligence, local government, or destination management would be advantageous, although not essential.
This target-driven role is primarily based in our London office, with regular travel throughout the UK and occasional travel across Europe to meet customers, attend industry events, and support key strategic accounts.
We understand the need to provide a flexible working environment partnered with team collaboration and socialisation. Therefore, we operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role is based in the London office.
Responsibilities
- Personally manage and professionally represent MRI Software, building trusted and mutually beneficial relationships with senior decision-makers across retail landlords, asset owners, property managers, retailers, Local Authorities, and Business Improvement Districts.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' business objectives and identify opportunities where MRI OnLocation Footfall Analytics can deliver measurable commercial value.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue, retention, and growth targets.
- Drive customer adoption and utilisation of footfall and analytics solutions, ensuring clients maximise value from their investment.
- Present and demonstrate footfall intelligence, visitor analytics, and performance reporting capabilities to both existing and prospective customers.
- Advise customers on best practice approaches to visitor insight, destination benchmarking, retail performance measurement, and data-driven asset management.
- Identify opportunities to expand customer relationships through additional data services, analytics capabilities, and wider MRI Software solutions.
- Lead commercial negotiations and recommend appropriate solutions that align with client requirements and strategic objectives.
- Maintain regular customer engagement through telephone, video conferencing, and on-site visits.
- Proactively manage renewals, contract extensions, and account development plans to maintain exceptional retention rates.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product Management, Legal, Development, and Implementation teams.
- Support the growth of MRI's presence within the retail property, destination management, and local government sectors.
- Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events to develop relationships and generate new opportunities.
- Ensure CRM systems are accurately maintained and reflect all sales activity, opportunities, forecasts, and account plans.
- Act as a voice of the customer, providing market feedback and insight to support future product innovation and development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
