Role Overview
As Optical Account Manager, you’ll be the main point of contact for a portfolio of optical accounts – mostly independent practices and small groups.
You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day communications with your accounts, introducing new products and promotions, and providing the customers with support. It’s a mostly phone and email-based role, based at our Huddersfield HQ, with room to grow as you develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with optical customers across your account base
- Promote new products, services and training to help drive sales and engagement
- Manage repeat orders, customer queries and product updates with speed and accuracy
- Stay on top of account activity using our CRM system – follow-ups, notes, and next steps
- Collaborate with the Sales Director to support account growth and retention targets
- Work with the marketing team to make sure practices have the right POS, materials and support
- Collect and share customer feedback to help us continually improve
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge

Key Requirements
- A great communicator – confident, friendly, and comfortable speaking with people over the phone
- Well organised – you can juggle multiple tasks, manage your time, and stay on top of the detail
- Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn – you don’t need chasing to get things done
- Experience in sales, customer service or admin is helpful – but not essential
- Tech-savvy enough to handle a CRM system, email tools, and general office software
- Interested in health, wellbeing, or optics (or at least curious enough to learn!)
- A team player who wants to be part of something growing and meaningful
