Account Manager (PBSA/BTR)

Location: Field-based / Remote | Salary: £40,000 + car allowance + commission (OTE £50,000+)

About the Role

Are you a highly driven Account Manager with proven experience in the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) or Build-to-Rent (BTR) sector, ready to make a mark? Reporting directly to the Head of Client Acquisition (PBSA/BTR), this pivotal role will establish UniHomes' presence in critical new markets as we launch our innovative rental advertising product.

UniHomes—a fast-growing PropTech leader—is scaling rapidly into PBSA and BTR, and you’ll play a key role in shaping this new direction. As our dedicated Account Manager, you’ll be the linchpin for partner success, driving engagement and performance across these high-growth sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partner Engagement

    • Develop and maintain high-value relationships with key decision-makers in PBSA and BTR operators.
    • Act as the primary strategic point of contact, leading discussions on performance optimisation and new opportunities.
    • Conduct minimum 10 impactful meetings per week, including:
      • In-depth account reviews
      • Strategic follow-ups
      • Platform training sessions
    • Represent UniHomes at industry networking events and conferences to strengthen relationships.
  • Performance & Growth Optimisation

    • Proactively monitor and improve listing performance, ensuring maximum visibility, accuracy, and competitiveness.
    • Deliver insightful reports and data-driven recommendations to boost partner conversion rates.
    • Provide weekly performance updates and comprehensive reports to the Head of PBSA and BTR.
  • Portfolio Excellence

    • Maintain full compliance and excellence in partner listings, including:
      • Updated pricing, availability
      • High-quality rich media (images, virtual tours)
      • Comprehensive property information
      • Ensuring listings exceed platform standards.
    • Collaborate on promotional strategies, including seasonal pricing adjustments.

  • Internal Collaboration & Innovation
    • Work seamlessly with product, content, and marketing teams to resolve client needs and drive platform improvements.
    • Identify and implement process enhancements that enhance partner satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Flexible Work Model

This role offers the best of both worlds:

  • Remote work (first half of the year) to establish foundational strategies and relationships.
  • Field-based (later in the year), with national travel (up to 3 days/week + overnight stays) as the business enters peak season.

Requirements & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on B2B Account Management experience (preferably in property or tech).
  • Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong commercial mindset, with a data-driven approach to revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in property management systems and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
  • Highly organised, balancing multiple accounts with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator, capable of articulating complex information (both verbally and in writing).
  • Full UK driving licence (essential due to travel requirements).

Desirable Experience

  • Direct experience in PBSA or BTR sectors.
  • Background in PropTech, SaaS, or online marketplaces.
  • Familiarity with occupancy strategies, revenue management, and seasonal trends.
  • Experience with the international student market.
