Account Manager – Portfolio & Owner Success (English Speaker)
Remote | Freelance / Independent Contractor | UK Working Hours
About GuestReady
GuestReady is a leading short-term rental and hospitality management company operating across multiple markets, including the UK, France, Portugal, Spain and the UAE.
Since 2016, we have combined technology with high-quality hospitality services to help property owners get the most out of their properties and deliver excellent guest experiences.
We are looking for an English-speaking Account Manager to own a portfolio of property owners in our UK market. The role is remote, offered on a freelance/independent contractor basis, and requires availability during UK business hours.
Role Overview
As an Account Manager, you will be the commercial owner of a portfolio of properties and the main point of contact for their owners. Your goal is to grow property performance and keep owners with GuestReady for the long term.
This is not a reactive support role. You will proactively analyse performance, spot risks and opportunities across your portfolio, lead performance conversations with owners, and drive actions that improve occupancy, revenue and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Revenue & Yield Strategy: Serve as the end-to-end commercial owner of a property portfolio, actively analysing performance metrics, market dynamics and pricing to maximise property yield for owners.
- Proactive Account Ownership: Drive long-term client retention through proactive account reviews, performance consulting and executive-level alignment, going well beyond reactive troubleshooting.
- Retention & Churn Management: Monitor the health of your portfolio, identify owners at risk of leaving early, and put action plans in place to retain them.
- Performance Conversations: Discuss results and commercial strategy with owners using data and insights; explain performance clearly, manage expectations and constructively challenge owners on pricing and actions needed to improve results.
- Growth Opportunities: Identify opportunities to improve and expand each account, and share recommendations with owners and internal teams.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Act as the bridge between owners and internal teams such as Operations, Guest Experience and Finance, making sure issues are owned, escalated where needed and resolved.
- Reporting & CRM: Keep accurate records of owner interactions, actions and outcomes in our CRM, and report on portfolio performance and retention.
- Continuous Improvement: Spot recurring challenges and share insights that improve both the owner experience and property performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
