This position is within our Sales and Account Management function.
Working within a small team, the Account Manager will have a broad range of responsibilities as listed below.
The role will be telesales-based but may require occasional travel to clients (expenses paid) and/or some flexible working hours in order to support the wider SmartCarbon consultancy function from time to time. The role will also include attendance at monthly in-person team meetings, predominantly in the Northeast.
The Role
- Develop and maintain client relationships with clients that have subscriptions to SmartCarbon.
- Ensure we retain 90% of our subscriptions year on year.
- Owning on-boarding of new clients.
- Respond to client requests for platform technical support.
- Analyse reporting progress and provide support to keep reporting on TRACC.
- Liaise with the consultancy team to deliver additional support where required.
- Update the Capsule CRM tool with progress.
- Own the SmartCarbon client renewal process (including comms).
- Work with the Managing Director on client retention activities.
- We have circa 200 fee-paying clients on the SmartCarbon platform and would expect the right person to speak with every client quarterly, update them on our forthcoming developments and build a good long-term partnership so that they renew.
- Produce weekly and monthly Board updates.

The Salary
We offer an excellent starting salary of £35,000 per annum.
The Hours
5 days per week 9 am to 5.30 pm (part-time working will be considered at a pro-rata rate).
