Job Description

You will be accountable for growing the research business and meeting sales budgets covering the Midlands by in-depth knowledge of market segments, technical knowledge, and sales skills.

  • You will be selling research consumables and reagents, and the full workflow to new and existing customers, covering cellular research immunology, cancer research, neuroscience, stem cell research, and others.
  • Travel throughout the Midlands to develop and maintain knowledge of accounts, solicit orders, perform product demonstrations, attend trade shows, congresses, and symposia.
  • Work with sales management to develop and execute the territory growth plan in line with the company's strategic goals.
  • You will develop our relationships with customers and key opinion leaders in academia, biotech, CROs/CMOs, and pharmaceutical companies.
  • Document customer interactions, appointments, and opportunities in the CRM system and participate in strategic marketing analysis and identification of new opportunities.

Qualifications

  • You have a BSc in a biological discipline or an MSc/PhD in Immunology, Cell analysis, or Cancer Biology and several years of sales experience in the life sciences environment.
  • You have strong commercial skills and you'll be able to demonstrate your ability to strategically plan account activities and accurately forecast sales.
  • The position requires you to be a well-organized individual with good interpersonal skills and commercial drive.
  • You're an excellent presenter, one-on-one and in front of larger audiences (from research students to senior scientists).
  • You'll travel regularly, with some overnight stays, and you are based in the assigned territory (ideally in Birmingham / Leicester or Coventry area).
