Account Manager – Banking, Payments & Lending

📍 Location: London or Cardiff (Hybrid: 2 days per week in office)

✈️ Travel: This role requires regular travel to meet customers and attend business meetings.

About the Role

We are looking for a commercially minded Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of Banking, Payments and Lending customers.

This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening executive-level relationships, and identifying opportunities to expand customer investment across our extensive solutions portfolio.

Working closely with Product, Customer Success, Sales Specialists and Leadership teams, you will develop strategic account plans, uncover growth opportunities, and position solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes for customers.

Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to navigate a complex, matrixed environment while managing multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a portfolio of Banking, Payments and Lending customer accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and executive stakeholders.
  • Identify and deliver upsell, cross-sell and expansion opportunities across the LexisNexis Risk Solutions portfolio.
  • Create and execute strategic account plans that support customer growth and retention.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and customer meetings to understand priorities and align solutions to business needs.
  • Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, Solutions Consulting and Sales teams to deliver value-driven outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipelines and account plans using CRM tools.
  • Monitor industry trends, customer challenges and market developments to identify new commercial opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Account Management, Strategic Account Management, or Enterprise Sales. Experience managing and growing complex customer relationships.
  • Experience selling or managing complex technology, SaaS, data or risk-based solutions.
  • Strong commercial mindset with a track record of delivering revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams within a matrixed organisation.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ideally, experience working with Banking, Payments or Lending organisations.
  • Knowledge of Fraud, Identity, Financial Crime, Compliance, Risk, Data or Analytics solutions.
