We are currently seeking an Account Manager within our UK office.


GEBHARDT Intralogistics Group is one of the leading suppliers of automated conveying and material handling systems and is now over 70 years old. Gebhardt Intralogistics UK, based in Nottingham, and itself over 30 years old, has been part of the Gebhardt group since 2014. GEBHARDT has been developing tailor-made solutions - from concept through to complete implementation - in the areas of unit load conveying, sorting technology, automated storage, and retrieval systems, including controls, warehouse management systems and IT integration.

Purpose of the role:

The Account Manager will be a key driving force for the growth and development of the Gebhardt business with responsibility for significantly increasing our sales revenue within this competitive market. You will be targeted with identifying new business contacts, generating sales leads from existing and new clients, and effectively managing sales opportunities from initial concept through to successful and profitable completion. Managing existing accounts and looking for new opportunities to increase revenue within them

Key responsibilities

  • Foster strong and sustainable relationships with both new and existing customers
  • Decipher and interpret RFQ documentation as necessary
  • Be able to understand customer needs, creating concepts that meet their challenges
  • Translate complex concepts into customer friendly language
  • Communicate the benefits of Gebhardt as an organisation and within the technology range
  • Generate accurate and competitive proposals, in conjunction with our applications engineering team
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality customer workshops and presentations
  • Identify and develop own leads within the industry
  • Work with marketing and business development to devise go to market and lead generation activities
  • Attend exhibitions, managing incoming leads from such events
  • Manage customers from first contact to signed order
  • Understand commercial and contractual elements as part of the negotiation process
  • Work alongside the solutions department to ensure high-quality designs
  • Liaise and work with multiple internal departments to the benefit of all projects
  • Provide accurate and timely reports including updating CRM
  • To always represent Gebhardt in a positive manner.

Key requirements

  • Previous experience in a sales/PSM role (E)
  • Experience in automated materials handling role (E)
  • Highly self-motivated team player that can work on own initiative (E)
  • Excellent communicator with outstanding sales skills, including negotiation, influencing, presenting and closing deals (E)
  • Focus and driven to achieve goals and targets (E)
  • Proficient in CRM SAP (D)
  • Experience selling high speed sortation systems (D)
  • Experience selling ASRS systems (D)
