Equans is looking for an Account Manager to join our team at Salford Royal Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

The primary role of the Account Manager is to work with and reporting in to the Accounts Director, supporting the Commercial, and Finance teams to produce measurable, continuous improvement to the performance of Salford Royal Hospital.

What will you deliver?

  • Form part of the on-site senior management team, delivering to agreed service levels within agreed budgets.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team to increase performance through consistency and innovation.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations.
  • Support the Performance Manager and Head of Technical on monthly deduction and service reports, daily/weekly updates, and other reports as required. Identify and minimise failures by providing advice, feedback, and updates to the team in the promotion of best practice in relation to payment mechanism deductions.
  • Develop, agree, and review processes necessary to deliver the contract.
  • Pro-actively offer solutions to improve performance, to include implementation of action/improvement plans where required.
  • Undertake root-cause and trend analysis of performance data, ascertaining trends & documenting improvement actions developed with service managers to address challenges, variances, or risk.
  • Develop working relationships with key clients & improve communication with the team and all other members of staff.
  • Liaise with the team to communicate key areas of focus.
  • Liaise with the Head of Technical to act as a point of escalation for any unforeseen failures.
  • Hold regular meetings with key stakeholders to ensure that key topics are discussed, and potential problems are highlighted to minimise service failures.
  • Support with governance of works.
  • Adhere to the company code of values and manage any non-conformance through agreed processes.

Who are we looking for?

  • ONC/HNC or equivalent experience in Facilities Management
  • IOSH Managing safely or similar H&S qualification
  • Experience of managing staff/projects within a PFI environment and of liaising directly with the client
  • Legal or commercial qualifications and or experience of commercial matters in PFI contract operations
  • Commercial awareness of key contractual documents
  • Experience of service delivery to a high standard and the ability to work under own initiative.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Payment Mechanism
  • Experience of reporting, data and trend analysis, including running / reviewing paymech reports and monthly performance reports
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, CAFM packages
