We’re Hiring: Account Manager (SC Clearance Required)!

📍 Location: Hybrid, Glasgow + Regular Site visits

💰 Pay: £50k Depending on experience + £7,200 Car Allowance + 25 days annual leave.

🕒 Working Hours: Monday - Friday (With Flexibility to attend industry & client events when needed)

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to lead service delivery across a diverse portfolio of customer sites. Based in the Glasgow area, this is an exciting opportunity for a commercially aware and people focused leader who thrives in fast paced operational environments and is committed to delivering outstanding customer outcomes. Whilst the role has a strong focus on supporting operations across Scotland, there will be opportunities to support other customer locations within the wider portfolio when required.

As our new Account Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across multiple locations, building lasting customer relationships and leading teams to consistently exceed performance expectations. Working closely with customers, Site Managers and operational teams, you will drive service excellence, manage contractual delivery, identify opportunities for continuous improvement and create a culture of accountability, engagement and development.

The successful candidate will bring excellent stakeholder management skills, a proven track record of leading geographically dispersed teams and the ability to balance customer, people and commercial priorities. Job Description

What you'll be doing...

As an Account Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a large operational team and ensuring exceptional service delivery across the account, other client sites within the portfolio, and occasional locations across the wider UK as business needs require.

You'll:

  • Lead, coach and develop Site Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders and frontline colleagues.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders, acting as the key point of contact for operational and account matters.
  • Drive service excellence, operational performance and continuous improvement across the portfolio.
  • Develop account plans that support customer needs, business objectives and future growth opportunities.
  • Ensure contractual KPIs, service levels and business objectives are consistently achieved.
  • Create a culture of engagement, accountability, development and high performance.
  • Support workforce planning, succession planning and capability development across the account.
  • Manage budgets, resources and operational efficiency to deliver strong commercial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance customer experience, improve services and add value to the account.
  • Lead risk, compliance and assurance activities to maintain safe, effective and compliant operations.
  • Support operational change and improvement initiatives across the portfolio.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to share best practice and contribute to wider business success.

Qualifications

What you'll bring...

  • Experience managing large operational teams within a service-led environment.
  • A track record of delivering operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and performance metrics.
  • Experience of driving employee engagement, development and retention.
  • Knowledges of planning, forecasting and organisational capabilities.
  • The ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' management experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to obtain SC Clearance to operate on clients sites.
  • Experience managing customer relationships and service delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of budget management and P&L accountability.
