Account Manager – (Instrumentation / Process Automation)

Central Scotland, United Kingdom

Role + Responsibilities for an Account Manager:

We are looking for an ambitious and customer-focused Account Manager to join our team, covering the Central Belt of Scotland. With a background in engineering, instrumentation, process automation, or industrial technology, you will take ownership of a portfolio of customers, developing long-term partnerships and identifying opportunities to grow our business.

Working closely with customers across a variety of process industries, you will promote and sell our full range of Instrumentation, Services, Solutions and Digitalisation offerings, helping customers improve efficiency, reliability, safety and sustainability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Managing and growing a portfolio of existing accounts through strategic account planning, identifying opportunities to increase revenue, market share and customer value.
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, developing a deep understanding of customer processes, challenges and business objectives.
  • Identifying, qualifying and securing new business opportunities through a consultative sales approach, positioning Endress+Hauser as a trusted partner.
  • Promoting the full Endress+Hauser portfolio of instrumentation, services, solutions and digital offerings, delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Collaborating closely with Marketing, Service, Solutions and Internal Sales teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience and drive business growth.
  • Developing and maintaining a robust sales pipeline, accurately forecasting opportunities and achieving agreed sales targets.
  • Monitoring market trends, industry developments and competitor activity to identify emerging opportunities and strengthen our market position.
  • Building and maintaining a strong professional network, regularly engaging with customers through face-to-face meetings, site visits and virtual interactions.
  • Demonstrating initiative, commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to overcome challenges and deliver results.

Qualifications & Profile

  • Proven sales experience within Instrumentation, Process Automation, Electrical Engineering or a related industrial sector.
  • A strong track record of developing customer relationships, winning new business and achieving sales targets.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into value-driven solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and highly organised, with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • A genuine passion for customer success, relationship building and delivering outstanding business results.
