SALARY: Up to £43,000 for AM and £50,000 for SAM
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid 3 days in office
I’m working with an established, award-winning B2B communications agency that is growing and looking to add an experienced Account Manager / Senior Account Manager to its team.
The agency works with ambitious businesses across technology, digital advertising, publishing, AI, media and other fast-moving sectors, delivering integrated PR and communications programmes that combine strong media relations, thought leadership and strategic counsel.
This is a genuinely hands-on agency environment, where Account Managers are trusted to take ownership of their accounts, build strong client relationships and get stuck into the work. You’ll work across a portfolio of around six accounts alongside senior team members, with plenty of exposure to senior clients and interesting, complex subject matter.
The agency is particularly keen to speak with people who are comfortable working at pace and can quickly adapt when priorities change – whether that's turning around a press release in a couple of hours, responding to a breaking news opportunity or developing a new media angle.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the day-to-day management and delivery of a portfolio of B2B and technology-focused client accounts
- Develop proactive PR and media strategies that secure high-quality and stretch coverage
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors and relevant industry contacts
- Develop compelling media angles, pitches and stories around complex business and technology topics
- Write and edit press releases, thought leadership articles, commentary, case studies, award entries and executive profiling content
- Identify reactive opportunities, newsjacking moments and emerging conversations relevant to clients
- Lead campaign planning and delivery across PR, content, social and digital activity
- Provide clients with proactive ideas, recommendations and counsel
- Monitor campaign performance and contribute to reporting and strategic recommendations
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and expand client programmes
- Support new business activity, including research, credentials, proposals and pitches
- Work collaboratively with Account Directors and Senior Account Directors on strategic campaigns
- Support more junior members of the team where appropriate
- Manage multiple deadlines, priorities and projects while maintaining a high standard of delivery

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
