This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded individual who is keen to build a career in new business sales and be mentored as part of an experienced team.


The Role

As a SMS Account Manager, your primary focus will be hunting new business opportunities and supporting senior sales and leadership team members in winning and growing SMS accounts.

You will play an active role in outbound sales activity, prospecting, lead qualification, and early-stage customer conversations.

This role is ideal for someone ambitious, confident, and motivated by results, who wants clear progression into a full sales or account management role.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Sales (Primary Focus)

    • Research, identify, and prospect new business opportunities across target sectors
    • Execute outbound sales activity via email, LinkedIn, phone, and other channels
    • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and book meetings for senior sales team members
    • Support the full sales cycle from first contact through to close
    • Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking within the CRM
  • Working with Senior Team Members

    • Work closely with senior sales managers and directors on key opportunities
    • Join client calls, demos, and meetings to gain real-world sales experience
    • Learn negotiation techniques

Desirable

  • Internship, placement, or part-time experience in sales or customer-facing roles
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)
  • Interest in AI tools and automation within sales
  • Experience using LinkedIn for prospecting or networking
