WE’RE LOOKING FOR AN ACCOUNT MANAGER!

WHO ARE WE?

On The Tools is a social media agency with a difference - we’re the UK’s only full-service, community first publishing group too! We create, produce and distribute shockingly good video content through our social media communities (and beyond), earning untouchable results for our clients.

Based in one of the most iconic offices in the West Midlands, a career with us is a vibrant one. We create together, we believe in being passionate and honest, and we always strive to have a consistent positive impact on our communities and the people around us - and we look for people who want to be part of that culture.

Our founder set out to create a company where nobody hated Mondays, or felt undervalued, and we work hard to uphold those principles.

If you’re looking to be part of something special, something dynamic, something exciting - On The Tools could be the place for you.

THE ROLE

The On The Tools client services team ensures the smooth day-to-day management of a group of key accounts. This ranges from taking client briefs, managing internal resource allocation and monitoring account commercials. The team acts as the face of On The Tools, building long-lasting relationships and helping our clients hit their business objectives.

The role of an Account Manager is to take ownership of all work being briefed to On The Tools and developing strong, long lasting relationships with the client.

CLIENT MANAGEMENT

  • Be responsible for all administrative tasks required on the project management of your accounts.
  • Ensuring tasks are delegated as needed and providing suggestions that would improve processes and efficiency.
  • Lead creative sessions, using your knowledge of the client, their competitors and their sector to ensure ideas will resonate with key stakeholders and customers.
  • Build a robust knowledge of the client's sector, competitors, and customers.
  • Take detailed feedback from the client, ensuring it is accurately briefed back to the Creative and/or Production teams.
  • Support the Senior Account Manager and Account Director as and when required.
  • Lead WIP calls with the client, ensuring that notes are reviewed and accurately shared with all stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple briefs, ensuring project progress is tracked with status sheets and that you have a thorough understanding of the day-to-day project management activities.
  • Strive to strengthen the client relationship, developing a long-lasting partnership.
  • Regularly share any relevant industry or platform insights with the team, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor with your field of expertise.
  • Build a robust knowledge of the client's brand guidelines, allowing you to identify anything that may go against these before work is presented to the client.
  • Develop expert knowledge of our online communities and ensure any work produced for a client can also be published to one of our channels.
  • Thoroughly check post-campaign reports to ensure accuracy of data and share all key learnings with the client.
  • Identify potential problems before they become an issue, flagging them to the Senior Account Manager or Account Director and supporting them as required.
  • Liaise with finance to ensure all client billing is accurate and carried out in a timely manner and POs are received before commencing work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
