About the Search / Brand & Rep / YouTube team

This pod sits at the heart of Google’s ecosystem. It encompasses Search, Google's foundational product that is constantly evolving to offer innovative new ways for users to get the most relevant and advanced search results. You'll also drive Brand & Rep, shaping the corporate outlook by highlighting AI Leadership, Recruitment, and key Policy areas like Privacy, Online safety, and Digital sovereignty. Additionally, you will work on YouTube, a globally recognized brand with expanding opportunities across Shorts and the creator economy. Throughout it all, you'll work alongside a large, welcoming, and bright multidisciplinary team that offers great opportunities to collaborate, learn, and grow.

About the Client Services team

The Client Services team is responsible for creating the conditions by which our clients love our work. We do this by building trust and exerting influence through deeper, more strategic relationships with our clients, and by driving, leading, and owning the campaign delivery process. We also foster a culture of support and encouragement internally.

Position Summary:

  • Own the day-to-day campaign delivery process and provide direct support to the wider account team.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients as well as internal teams and act as the daily contact for assigned workstreams.
  • Direct line management of up to one team member.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Client Satisfaction

  • Ensure client satisfaction is maintained throughout the campaign lifecycle.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the client's industry and proactively share insights.
  • Manage client expectations, including frequency of status updates and milestone reviews.

Team Happiness

  • Ensure direct reports feel invested in, engaged, and motivated to deliver their best work.
  • Provide timely and actionable feedback to aid in their development.
  • Bring fun and support into the day-to-day life of the account.

Work Quality and Innovation

  • Interrogate work and client deliverables to ensure they exceed expectations.
  • Provide project management leadership during the campaign lifecycle.
  • Identify potential risks, issues, and opportunities across briefs and processes.

Financial Strength and Operational Excellence

  • Take responsibility for the end-to-end invoicing process, including managing to budget and reconciliation.
  • Leverage stakeholder relationships to improve the campaign delivery process.
  • Communicate financial risks as they arise.

Growth and Diversity of Clients

  • Identify potential organic growth opportunities within assigned campaigns.

Competencies (Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities):

  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.
  • Solid grasp of digital marketing and deep knowledge of digital media.
  • Thorough understanding of campaign-level financial management.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Potential to line manage 1 direct report, supporting their career growth.
  • Lead by example and motivate juniors on the team.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Degree educated or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven and demonstrable experience in an Account Manager role or equivalent.
