Job Purpose
The Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, with a focus on client engagement, retention, and revenue growth through a service-led sales approach. All client interaction is conducted virtually via telephone, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and email, making strong communication skills and a professional virtual presence essential to the role.
Acting as a trusted adviser, the Account Manager builds long-term relationships with key decision makers and influencers, develops a deep understanding of each client's business and objectives, and recommends tailored solutions that deliver genuine value. The role requires a proactive, commercially aware individual who can balance relationship management with a consistent drive for growth and retention.
In addition to managing an existing account base, the Account Manager is expected to identify new business opportunities through referrals, internally provided leads, and virtual networking, contributing to the growth of the wider sales team.

- Develop and execute retention strategies to protect existing revenue and client relationships
- Manage contract renewals effectively, ensuring high retention rates across the portfolio

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
