Job Description

Account Manager Team Manager – Contact Centre

Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours per week | £35,395 + Competitive Commission structure, Bonus & Incentives

We’re looking for an ambitious and people-focused Contact Centre Team Manager to join our Account Management team at our Tamworth Contact Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced contact centre leader to take the next step in their career, leading and developing a team of up to 12 Account Managers and helping them achieve their full potential.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Team Manager, you’ll be responsible for creating an environment where people can thrive, customers receive an exceptional experience and commercial opportunities are maximised.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, coach and motivate a team of up to 12 Account Managers, supporting every individual to reach their maximum potential.
  • Take ownership of the recruitment, selection, performance and ongoing development of your team.
  • Support the Operations Manager in delivering the department’s strategic objectives and business plan, including involvement in key projects.
  • Identify and champion opportunities to increase revenue and improve the customer experience.
  • Energise your team to embrace incentives, new initiatives and process improvements, ensuring everyone understands their goals and how they can achieve them.
  • Create a strong coaching culture, providing regular feedback, guidance and support.
  • Communicate goals, objectives and key business messages clearly and confidently.
  • Manage performance against key KPIs across sales, service, cost, employee engagement and customer satisfaction.
  • Build strong relationships across all levels of the business and act as a positive role model for Brakes values.

About you:

You’re a natural leader who knows how to bring out the best in people. You’re commercially aware, customer-focused and passionate about delivering results.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience at Team Manager or Supervisor level within a contact centre environment, ideally managing a sales-focused team.
  • A confident, positive and results-driven approach, with strong commercial awareness.
  • A genuine passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience.
  • The ability to give and receive feedback and champion a coaching and development culture.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and perform under pressure.
  • Good computer literacy and confidence using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional customer-handling and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to lead, inspire and build confidence within a team.
  • A proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels.
  • A commitment to living and demonstrating Brakes values every day.
