Account Manager – Technical Building Services/M&E
Location: Morley, Leeds (Office Based)
Salary: Up to £40,000 + Performance Bonus (OTE £45,000-£50,000)
Hours: 07:30am – 4:30pm (Flexibility as required)
Holidays: 23 days + Statutory

What’s the role about?
As Account Manager, you'll take ownership of an established portfolio of approximately 250-300 customer accounts, helping clients get maximum value from the business whilst increasing account spend and identifying new project opportunities.

You'll work closely with technical specialists, acting as the commercial relationship lead and ensuring customers receive exceptional support throughout their projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships across an assigned portfolio of customer accounts
- Develop account growth strategies to increase customer spend and profitability
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across products, technical services, and off-site solutions
- Follow up quotations, enquiries, and project opportunities to maximise conversion rates
- Work closely with technical colleagues to identify and qualify opportunities requiring specialist support
- Conduct regular account reviews and maintain strategic customer engagement plans
- Accurately manage customer activity, opportunities, and pipeline progression through the CRM system
- Gain insight into customer projects and identify opportunities to expand the business's involvement across key accounts
About You
We're interested in people who can build relationships and deliver commercial results, regardless of sector background (the ideal experience candidate would have exposure to telling technical products within the building services/construction sector). You might currently be an Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, Internal Sales Executive, Technical Account Manager, or Commercial Account Manager.

- Proven account management experience with responsibility for customer growth
- A consultative, solution-led approach to selling
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent follow-up discipline and attention to detail
- Experience managing opportunities through a CRM system
- A proactive, organised and commercially minded approach
- The desire and curiosity to learn a technical industry and product offering
