About the Role

As Account Manager, Trading (National Sales), you will be responsible for leading Alight’s day-to-day commercial relationships with key Specialist and OOH agency partners.

Your primary goal is to deliver revenue growth across your specialist patch through strong customer partnerships, consistent delivery of our contact strategy, high-quality brief responses, effective campaign pricing, and oversight of campaign performance.

This is a key role within the Trading team, working collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Planning, and Insight teams to deliver against National Sales revenue targets weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually across both Roadside and Dwell.

Success Measures

  • Achievement of individual and team revenue targets
  • Yield management and rate adherence across your specialist patch
  • Quality and speed of responses to briefs (RTBs)
  • Number and quality of client engagements per week (minimum six)
  • Strength of relationships with key specialist and investment teams
  • Accuracy of reporting, data, and forecasting
  • Collaboration with internal teams to deliver effective go-to-market activity
  • Client campaign KPI delivery in partnership with our Delivery team

Key Responsibilities

Client partnership & relationship management

  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with Specialist and OOH agency partners
  • Maintain consistent contact through meetings, calls, and events (minimum six per week)
  • Be the key day-to-day contact for investment and planning leads, building credibility and influence
  • Deliver exceptional client service while ensuring pricing integrity and SLA adherence

Revenue & trading

  • Lead trading and rate negotiations across your specialist patch to meet yield and revenue targets
  • Secure annual trading agreements (laydowns) that align with commercial objectives
  • Collaborate with Sales and Finance to ensure revenue delivery and lead-to-cash accuracy
  • Support the tracking and performance of Barter partnerships

Brief response & campaign management

  • Deliver fast, accurate, and high-quality responses to client briefs
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop effective, data-driven campaign recommendations
  • Partner with the Delivery team to ensure campaign KPIs are met and client satisfaction is achieved
  • Monitor performance and share insights to optimise future campaigns

Insight & market understanding

  • Analyse market trends, client spend, and competitive activity to inform trading strategies
  • Use data and insight to identify opportunities for growth and improved performance
  • Support the development of go-to-market initiatives with the Marketing and Planning teams

Collaboration & culture

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Planning, Finance, and Delivery teams
  • Support colleagues through collaboration, feedback, and shared goals
  • Role model Alight’s culture and values; being ambitious, collaborative, and positive
  • Be flexible in working arrangements to meet client and business needs (typically 3–5 days per week in London HQ)

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Out-of-Home (OOH), ideally within investment or trading
  • Proven relationships with specialist agency investment teams
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, balancing business and client needs
  • Analytical and data-literate, with the ability to interpret and apply insight to briefs and performance metrics
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills, ensuring accuracy and compliance with processes
  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building abilities
  • Broad understanding of OOH, market dynamics, and client challenges
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and capable of delivering under pressure
  • Flexible, collaborative, and driven to achieve results
