Account Manager

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Salary: £32,000 to £35,000

Full Time: Monday to Friday

The Role:

This role is vital for the growth of the business. You will be a confident and capable PR professional, responsible for the day-to-day management of their client accounts and the successful delivery of campaigns. You will build strong relationships with clients, manage projects effectively, and contribute to the achievement of client objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops a good understanding of clients' businesses, their challenges, and objectives.
  • Stays up to date with clients industry trends, developments and competitor activities.
  • Confidently shares insights with account team and client as and when.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of PR strategies and plans.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with key client contacts.
  • Confidently leads client meetings, delegating relevant areas to suitable team members to support.
  • Provides timely and effective responses to client requests.
  • Identifies potential issues and proactively seeks solutions.
  • Confidently builds strong relationships with key media contacts for all clients
  • Leads by example through pitching (by phone/ email/ social media) to media and securing high performing coverage through built relationships.
  • Demonstrates strong written skills through feature and press release drafting for AD approval.
  • Provides guidance and feedback for AE press materials
  • Manages project deadlines timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Ensures accurate and timely reporting on account activities.
  • Ensures a high level of client satisfaction through proactive communication and effective account management.
  • Acts as first point of contact for clients for day to day activity. They are the pivotal role within the account team and work filters through them.
  • Works to understand client needs and deliver solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Leads on account planning and evaluation.
  • Identifies potential opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts.
  • Supports the team in the development of new business proposals and presentations.
  • Participates in pitch meetings, contributing valuable insights and expertise.
  • Proactively identify and attend networking events.
  • Contributes to a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Demonstrates strong organisational and time management skills.
