Senior Account Managers and Business Development Managers | Infrastructure, Managed Services & Cloud
Location: South Offices – Surrey / Brighton
Compensation: Up to £65,000 + Double OTE
IP-People is recruiting for an established and growing Managed Service Provider looking to add commercially driven sales professionals across both Account Management and New Business Development.
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Account Manager, Business Development Manager or Senior Sales professional with a background in IT infrastructure, managed services, cloud or wider technology solutions.
Depending on your background, the role can focus on either developing an existing customer base and driving account growth, or winning new business and bringing new customers into the organisation. Across both areas, you'll be selling a broad portfolio covering managed services, infrastructure, cloud, cyber security, networking and communications.
You'll work closely with technical and delivery specialists to understand customer requirements, develop commercially viable solutions and build long-term relationships with businesses across the SME and mid-market space.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts, or develop new business opportunities
- Build trusted relationships with commercial and technical stakeholders
- Identify opportunities across managed services, infrastructure, cloud, cyber security and communications
- Drive recurring revenue through upsell, cross-sell, renewals and account development
- Generate and develop new opportunities through prospecting, networking and targeted outreach
- Own opportunities from initial engagement through to proposal, negotiation and close
- Develop account plans and strategic growth opportunities
- Conduct customer meetings, reviews and discovery sessions
- Work alongside technical teams to scope and position appropriate solutions
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiate contracts
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting and CRM activity
- Identify customer challenges and translate them into commercially viable technology solutions
- Build long-term relationships that support retention and continued growth

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in Account Management, Business Development or Sales within IT / technology
- Experience selling Microsoft Modern Workplace, managed services, infrastructure, cloud, networking or related solutions
- A strong commercial mindset with evidence of revenue generation and growth
- Comfortable selling into SME and mid-market organisations
- Ability to engage confidently with both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, proactive and commercially focused
- Comfortable working alongside technical specialists and delivery teams
- Full UK Driving Licence
