Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Greater London, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week. The Account Relationship and Operations Officer/Manager will manage a portfolio of student and institutional accounts, ensuring high-quality service delivery and a seamless payment experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining strong client relationships, responding to inquiries, and providing guidance on payment processes, compliance requirements, and platform features. The role will oversee operational workflows related to payment processing, reconciliation, and issue resolution, working closely with finance, risk, and technology teams to maintain accuracy and efficiency. The officer/manager will also monitor performance metrics, analyze account activity, and recommend improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities
- Day-to-day partner management: first point of contact for university/school partners, handling enquiries, meetings, onboarding and contract renewals.
- Business development support: research, proposals, lead follow-up, event/conference attendance.
- Data & reporting: account performance dashboards, market trend analysis.
- Operational troubleshooting: resolving payment/processing issues with partners, liaising across Ops, Finance, Compliance, Product, Customer Service, and flagging AML/KYC-relevant issues.
- Travel: some UK travel to partner institutions, occasional international travel as required.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is curious, responsible, organised, commercially aware and good with people, with an interest in education and international business.
You may be a recent graduate looking to build a career in financial services, account management, business development or international education, or have 2–5 years’ relevant professional experience in a relevant field.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Fluent spoken and written Mandarin Chinese and English.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Candidates should possess solid Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication in English and the ability to explain complex processes in a user-friendly way.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making related to account performance and operations.
- Candidates should possess Operations Management capabilities, including experience coordinating workflows, optimizing processes, and managing service-level expectations.
- Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of Finance, particularly payments, reconciliations, and basic financial concepts relevant to cross-border transactions.
- Relevant experience in fintech, payments, banking, or international education services is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborate across multicultural teams, and adapt to a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
