A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Manager to join a modern, fast-growing Accountancy Practice Group with multiple offices across the UK.
Reporting directly to the Partners, you will lead a team of 15+ qualified and part-qualified accountants, whilst overseeing offshore resources and helping drive the firm's continued growth and operational excellence.
The firm provides Accounting, Tax, Business Advisory, Outsourced Finance, Management Accounts, and Business Management services to clients across the Sports, Entertainment, Music, Real Estate, and Medical sectors.
This role offers a genuine route to Equity Partnership and future share ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and developing a team of 15+ accountants across multiple service lines
- Overseeing offshore accounting teams and workflow management
- Reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, and year-end accounts
- Managing client portfolios and acting as a senior client contact
- Resource planning, team performance, and capacity management
- Supporting Partners with business growth and strategic initiatives
- Conducting staff appraisals, mentoring, and performance reviews
- Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and practice procedures
- Driving operational efficiencies, process improvements, and best practice
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and team development
- Monitoring deadlines, WIP, recoverability, and client service levels
- Working closely with Partners to achieve growth targets and business objectives

Requirements
- FCA or FCCA Qualified
- Minimum 10 years' experience within an Accountancy Practice
- Previous experience as a Practice Manager, Senior Manager, Associate Director, or Director
- Proven experience managing teams of 15+ staff
- Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, and client deliverables
- Experience reporting directly to Partners, Directors, or Business Owners
- Commercially minded with strong operational and practice management experience
