The Opportunity

We're looking for a qualified accountant who is passionate about developing others and sharing their knowledge. Whether you've taught before or not, we'll provide full training and support to help you become an outstanding tutor. What matters most is your enthusiasm, ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, and desire to help learners achieve their goals.

As an Accountancy Tutor, you'll deliver engaging classroom and online training across a range of professional accountancy qualifications, including AAT, ACA, ACCA, and CIMA. You'll support learners throughout their studies, helping them build confidence, develop their technical knowledge, and achieve exam success. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative and supportive team where your expertise can make a genuine difference to learners, employers, and the wider business.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver high-quality classroom and virtual training across professional accountancy qualifications.
  • Teach and support cohorts of students and apprentices studying AAT, ACA, ACCA, and CIMA qualifications.
  • Deliver courses in line with FI learning programmes and teaching materials.
  • Support students and apprentices throughout their learning journey.
  • Answer learner questions both during and outside of scheduled teaching sessions.
  • Provide constructive feedback on submitted work and assessments.
  • Monitor learner progress and support achievement outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with learners, employers, and colleagues.
  • Provide updates and feedback to client contacts when required.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of learning materials and educational initiatives.
  • Support wider business activities and contribute to the continued growth of First Intuition.

What You'll Bring

Essential

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or AAT qualified (Level 7 standard or equivalent where applicable).
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
  • Passion for developing others and sharing knowledge.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Positive, proactive, and solution-focused approach.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence building relationships with learners, clients, and colleagues.
  • Experience working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Understanding of accountancy qualifications and apprenticeship programmes.

Desirable

  • Previous teaching, coaching, mentoring, or training experience.
  • Experience within the accountancy or finance sector.
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and funding requirements.
  • Understanding of AAT, ACA, ACCA, and CIMA qualifications.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and virtual learning technologies.
