Accountancy Tutor
Location: Trafford Park (face-to-face delivery)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Job Description:
We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Accountancy Tutor to deliver high-quality, classroom-based teaching across AAT Level 2 and Level 3 Accountancy qualifications.
This role is ideal for a skilled practitioner and educator who has recent experience delivering the full suite of AAT Level 2 and Level 3 units and is passionate about helping learners achieve successful outcomes. The successful candidate will be confident delivering a broad curriculum covering bookkeeping, costing, financial accounting, management accounting, taxation and business awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging, face-to-face Accountancy teaching across AAT Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications.
- Teaching all Level 2 units, including:
- Introduction to Bookkeeping
- Principles of Bookkeeping Controls
- Principles of Costing
- The Business Environment
- Teaching all Level 3 units, including:
- Business Awareness
- Management Accounting Techniques
- Tax Processes for Businesses
- Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements
- Planning, designing and delivering structured learning programmes that meet awarding body and quality standards.
- Assessing learner work, providing timely and constructive feedback, and supporting learners to successful completion.
- Monitoring learner progress, achievement and attendance to ensure positive outcomes.
- Using digital learning and assessment systems, including Smart Assessor and It's Learning, to track progress and maintain learner records.
- Contributing to quality assurance processes, safeguarding, health and safety requirements and continuous improvement activities.
- Building positive relationships with employers and stakeholders to support learner progression and programme success.

Requirements:
- Recent experience delivering the full AAT Level 2 and Level 3 Accountancy qualifications, including all mandatory units.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Introduction to Bookkeeping
- Principles of Bookkeeping Controls
- Principles of Costing
- The Business Environment
- Business Awareness
- Management Accounting Techniques
- Tax Processes for Businesses
- Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements
- A recognised teaching qualification, or be actively working towards one.
- Proven experience teaching and assessing Accountancy programmes within Further Education, adult education or training environments.
- A minimum of 5 years' vocational experience within an Accountancy role.
- Strong digital skills, including experience of Smart Assessor, It's Learning and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication, organisation and learner-centred coaching skills.
- A supportive, adaptable and motivating approach to teaching and learning.
- Experience of Level 4 AAT delivery would be advantageous.
