Accountancy Tutor
Location: Trafford Park (face-to-face delivery)
Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accountancy Tutor to deliver high-quality, classroom-based teaching to learners primarily at AAT Level 2, with some delivery at Level 3.
This role is ideal for a practitioner-teacher who is confident and experienced delivering the full suite of AAT Level 2 units, has recent delivery experience, and is passionate about supporting learners to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, classroom-based Accountancy teaching at AAT Level 2, with some Level 3 provision.
- Plan, design, and deliver structured learning programmes aligned to awarding body and quality standards.
- Assess learner work, provide timely and constructive feedback, and manage learner progress to successful completion.
- Ensure learners are supported through all required units, maintaining high standards of achievement and retention.
- Utilise digital systems effectively including Smart Assessor and Its Learning to track progress, assessment, and evidence.
- Maintain accurate learner records and contribute positively to quality assurance, safeguarding, health and safety practices.
- Engage with employers and stakeholders where required, supporting learner progression and programme success.

Essential Requirements:
- Recent experience delivering AAT Accountancy qualifications at Level 2, having completed a full suite of all Level 2 units.
- Experience delivering AAT Level 3 (highly desirable) and potential capability to support Level 4 delivery.
- Must have delivered all units within the relevant AAT qualifications (Level 2 essential; Level 3 desirable).
- A recognised teaching qualification (or working towards), with proven delivery experience at AAT Levels 2 and 3.
- Minimum 5 years vocational industry experience in Accountancy.
- At least 12 years experience in teaching, learning, and assessment within Further Education or training environments.
- Strong digital skills, including confident use of Smart Assessor, Its Learning, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and learner-centred coaching skills.
- A flexible, supportive, and motivating approach to teaching and learning.
