The Accountant
The Accountant will maintain the accounting and financial operations in the Belfast Center and to support the Fee Generating Services Function (legal teams).
Main responsibilities:
- Preparation of the Center's monthly management reporting, including reporting to local management.
- Support the Fee Generating Services (legal) function with monthly financial and operational information.
- Assist with accurate preparation of the audited financial statements and co-coordination of the Financial Statement Audit.
- Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with annual budgeting for the Belfast Center and Fee Generating Services teams.
- Involved with all facets of the Center's financial operations, including accounts payable and interfirm invoicing/settlement.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of accounting transactions in management and statutory ledgers. Lead standard month end processes.
- Involved with banking, bank relationships and cash flow management.

- Qualified Accountant, with 3-5 years of industry experience, with extensive relevant Finance experience; experience in Finance Operations and/ or Finance Shared Services in a professional services organization is preferred.
- Proven ability to influence, interact and consult with senior leaders regarding finance processes, guidelines and compliances.
- Demonstrated expertise in operational efficiency and financial accounting.
- Strong in project management and systemic thinking. Proven ability to assess risk and take decisive, appropriate actions, especially in the case of exception requests.
- Ability to network and collaborate with teams both regional and global, while acknowledging their cultural, social and academic diversity.
- Working proficiency in using MS Office and other Productivity Tools.
