About BSQ Accounting
At BSQ Accounting, we help the founders of new UK limited companies stay on top of their accounts and compliance from day one.
We're the fixed-fee accountancy practice within BSQ Group, working alongside our sister company 1st Formations, one of the UK's leading company formation providers. Our clients join us at the very start of their journey, and we look after their bookkeeping, statutory accounts, tax, VAT and payroll so they can focus on building their business.
Running a business shouldn't be slowed down by statutory compliance, accounting or payroll. Together with 1st Formations, we bring formation, compliance, accounting, payroll and ongoing business support into one integrated platform.
No stitched-together services.
No legacy workflows disguised as software.
Just a single, scalable platform built for ambitious founders who want to move fast, stay compliant, and grow with confidence.
Why Join Us Now?
You'll be joining a business with strong momentum, clear direction, and real opportunity for progression.
- £18m annual revenue, including £9m ARR
- Over 1 million companies formed
- Certified B Corp and Carbon Neutral Business
- Forecast to grow 5x to 10x over the next three years
The Role
We're looking for a qualified Accountant to join BSQ Accounting, reporting to our Accounting Manager. Because we serve a large and growing base of newly incorporated limited companies on fixed fees, this is a high-volume role. You'll be one of the team's technical reviewers, checking and signing off compliance work prepared by team members, including our offshore production team, and managing your own workload independently against statutory deadlines.
You'll come from an accountancy practice and be comfortable working across a large client base at pace, prioritising by deadline and risk, and keeping a commercial eye on the time spent against a fixed fee. Your expertise will help shape how we deliver accountancy services as we scale, with real scope to progress as the team grows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
