Position: Accountant
Location: South Lanarkshire
Working Hours:
- Monday–Thursday: 09:00–17:00
- Friday: 09:00–12:00

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team and manage a portfolio of clients. As part of a supportive and collaborative environment, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the firm while developing your skills further.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing 2-3 SME client portfolios, ensuring excellent service and strong client relationships.
- Preparing and reviewing:
- Annual accounts
- Corporation tax returns
- Self-assessment tax returns
- VAT returns
- Management accounts
- Offering proactive advice and identifying value-adding opportunities.
- Supporting junior colleagues and assisting with workflow management within the firm.

Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Experience in an accountancy practice is essential, although we are open to considering less experienced candidates as well.
- Strong technical knowledge in accounts preparation and tax compliance.
- Ability to manage client relationships independently.
- Excellent organisational skills and a high attention to detail.
- A confident communicator with a professional and approachable manner.
- A strong team player with a collaborative approach.
Desirable:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (we will consider candidates at different experience levels).
- Familiarity with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
