Accountant
Location: Coupar Angus, Scotland
Competitive Salary + Progression & Development + Support for Qualifications
Hours: Monday - Friday - 8 AM to 5 PM
About the Role
We are recruiting for an Accountant to join our team at our Coupar Angus site - a key part of our poultry business. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional looking to develop their career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll support the site's finance function with accurate reporting, analysis, and insight, while gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of management accounting.
Working closely with finance and operational teams, you'll play an important role in supporting decision-making, driving performance, and ensuring financial accuracy. This role is ideal for someone with solid accounting fundamentals who is ready to grow into a future Management Accountant or Financial Accountant role.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts
- Support with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Maintain accurate costings and monitor production performance
- Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support operational decision-making
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures
- Support continuous improvement within the finance function
About You
You'll be a proactive and analytical finance professional who enjoys working in a hands-on, fast-moving environment. You'll have strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the confidence to challenge and support colleagues across the business.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / equivalent) or actively studying
- Previous experience in a finance or management accounts role (manufacturing or FMCG preferred)
- Excellent Excel and data analysis skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Motivated to progress your career
