Are you a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant looking for a Temporary Contract within a leading engineering and power systems environment?

Our client is seeking an analytical, detail-driven finance professional to join their specialized Power Systems Business Unit. This role offers a compelling blend of core month-end ownership, complex technical accounting, and strategic corporate reporting within a flexible, hybrid working framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own in-depth lease accounting to ensure accurate day-to-day maintenance and smooth, successful quarterly audits.
  • Oversee payroll activities, including the preparation and posting of journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Deliver complete monthly and quarterly corporate reports within Financial Close Manager to inform key stakeholders and support strategic business planning.
  • Drive the complete "close-the-books" process for the Kent site, including review file preparation, submission, and oversight.
  • Analyze and report monthly Profit in Inventory (PII) variances, conduct balance sheet reviews for month-end close meetings, and assess internal control frameworks to mitigate reporting risks.
  • Prepare the PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) return and annual Tax Packs for Daventry and Kent, staying up-to-date with relevant local financial and tax regulations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
