We are working on behalf of a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Ludlow to recruit a Practice Accountant to join their high-achieving team.

This is a great opportunity for an ACA, ACCA or AAT-qualified, newly qualified or part-qualified accountant with relevant practice experience, looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing accounts from incomplete accounting records
  • Preparing business and corporation tax computations
  • Working with Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
  • Liaising with clients and HMRC
  • Building strong relationships with a portfolio of owner-managed businesses
  • Visiting client premises where required
  • Working closely with Managers, Directors and Partners
  • Ensuring client deadlines and requirements are met

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice
  • Experience preparing accounts and tax computations
  • ACA, ACCA or AAT qualification, or be newly/part-qualified
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Xero, Sage or QuickBooks would be advantageous
